This is the first Pope to resign in 600 years; why?

Could it be his time has come?

He is 86 this year, but what is the cause for him to announce his resignation when he told the world "he would stay till ill heath overtook him or he died?"

Benedict is the 265th Pope, and it is interesting that 2+6+5 adds to 13; lucky for some, but not this man. He may have been regarded as the successor of Saint Peter the Apostle, but the question has to be asked, why is he stepping down; what is the cause of his radical decision?

He was elected on 19 April 2005, and on February 11, 2013, he announced his resignation for the 28th February 2013, due to ill health and age. After looking at his chart, I have to concur his view is 100% right.

Scanning Pope Benedict's Profile over his 8 year appointment, clearly indicates he has had very difficult times. I recall discussing with friends, just after Pope John Paul died, Benedict was not suited for the position nor did he look like he was going to last.

A short matter of recent interest in New Zealand

Recently, a prominent radio and television presenter of many years, Paul Holmes, resigned from his career, then died; Pope Benedict is resigning and the prognosis from my perspective is the same as Holmes.

For those who have no idea who Paul Holmes was, he was one of New Zealand's most candid radio and television presenters who contracted prostate cancer, went into remission, had serious heart surgery, had difficulty recovering, then suffered a vicious comeback of prostate related cancer. He was knighted for his work, became Sir Paul Holmes, then he dropped like a stone into water and died within a couple of weeks.

The Pope seems to be on a similar path, although not as rapid as Sir Paul. The resigning Pontiff is certainly on a down hill slope and according to his chart, as early as September this year, but certainly by 2016 at the very latest, he will pass.

In December 2004, I was interviewed for the evening news by TV New Zealand, re the state of Pope John Paul and his situation, and I said he would not make 2005 out; he died in April 2005.

The same was asked about the "Royals" and I said on air; "There was an event to take place in April 2005, that is clearly indicated on Prince Charles, Prince Harry and Prince William's profiles, that would come as a complete surprise to all. Whatever it was, it will come out of the blue and affect everyone!"

At that time (December 2004), no one knew - until February 2005 - that Prince Charles was to marry Camilla in April, and with coincidental accuracy, the Pope died, and this in turn caused the postponement of the initial, secretly planned wedding; the Pope died and his funeral took precedent over Prince Charles and Camilla's Wedding - what a surprise!

Back to the present Pope:

From what I can see on Pope Benedict XVI's chart, he has been under serious stress starting when he was 76. From 2003 - 2005, he was well aware of what was coming re his appointment, then after he was ordained as Pope, and the puff of smoke came out of the chimney, things became more and more difficult for him.

About midway in 2007, he began to feel the effects of external pressures, followed by many unexpected events in 2008. He had several serious matters to contend with in 2009, and 2010 brought serious decisions from mounting problems and conditions. Many of these things were not brought to the public's attention, but the real downhill slide began right on his 84th birth day.

From then on, the Pope was having to contend with personal issues, Church issues, and his blood and heart would have literally been the focus of his problems. With physical and emotional pain and anguish. I would even suspect he may have a blood related condition or cancer eating away at the ebbing life of the Pope.

2012 where the responsibility of his Pontiff became too much for him to handle, because he was at literal 6's and 7's, and his heart would have felt the weight over the failings and bad publicity of the Catholic Church, and his health was subjected to continual battering from external sources.

The start of 2013 and beyond, will find the Pope treading on very thin ice, and depending on the intervention of medical support, his days are numbered as mentioned earlier in this report. September this year (2013) will give rise to further deteriorating health conditions, and thereafter, especially as 2014 comes into play, it may be time for Benedict to pull up his cricket wickets and go home.

Turning the page to another point of interest;

I have almost finished writing my book on death and dying, which has not been given a title yet, but I will likely include the exiting Benedict's demise and you will be able to see for the first time as will the rest of the world, how I can see "The living, dead".

Sounds terrible I know, but the fact is, I have studied the lives of thousands and thousands of people, living and dead, and the statistics born of gathered empirical data, speak clearly for themselves that there is a pattern, a time where we humans are subjected to a common set of factors that identify times of potential demise.

The point of the book is not morbid, but a means by which people can discover they can avoid untimely death by being aware of the potential dangers that lie ahead of us all, every year of out life. This book will be an invaluable publication.
